Centar ACROSS-DataScience djeluje kao središte suradnje akademske zajednice s poslovnim i javnim sektorom u istraživanju i razvoju novih metodologija i naprednih inženjerskih pristupa za znanost o podatcima i kooperativne sustave.

Predavanje će se održati uživo na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu u

utorak 10. svibnja 2022. u 10:00 sati u Sivoj vijećnici

Predviđeno trajanje predavanja 45 minuta nakon čega slijedi rasprava.

Predavanje je otvoreno za sve zainteresirane, a posebno pozivamo studente.

Sažetak predavanja

The talk will present several selected research activities in Girona's Underwater Robotics Research Lab (https://cirs.udg.edu/) with the emphasis on the use of different imaging and 3D acquisition methods in underwater environments for applications such as navigation, tracking, mapping, SLAM, and modeling.

Životopis predavača

Dr. Josep Forest received his BsC degree in Computer Engineering in 1992 by the University of Girona (Girona, Catalonia), MsC in Electronics Engineeringby the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1998, and the PhD degree on 3D Machine Vision in 2004. He is a former co-founder of AQSENSE (now part of COGNEX Corporation) and OPSIS Vision Technologies Spin-Off companies, both devoted to commercializing 3D Machine Vision technologies for different fields of application. His current research interests are focused on 3D Machine Vision, including laser triangulation, calibration and detection, lidar, underwater 3D vision, and point cloud processing. His research also includes the usability of 3D vision for industry applications for dimensional testing, quality control and assisted manufacturing.
